How HADAWA helps.

NDIS Supported Independent Living Services in Perth.

What is Supported independent living (SIL)?

Supported Living is the name of the NDIS funding that provides people with a disability with support to achieve daily tasks, to help them to be independent and learn new skills.

Supported independent living gives you access to a support person who has been to help with everyday tasks including personal care, cleaning and cooking. We match each participant to be compatible with others to make sure that their individual needs are met and they can live together in harmony.

In our HADAWA homes, a staff member lives on site 24/7 to  provide a range of support services and allow participants to live as independently as possible while building living skills.

We own the properties which allows for any modifications to be made in an efficient and timely manner without permission from a landlord. For example, if a resident has specific requirements like weightbearing hand rails in the shower, we can work closely with an Occupational Therapist to get these approved and installed quickly to reduce any safety risk.

Assistance with Daily Living.

Helping you to thrive at home.

HADAWA assists people with disabilities to get things done in a way that feels right for them. We help our NDIS participants with the daily tasks in life that they might find challenging to do on their own, but in a way that makes them feel empowered and grows confidence and self-esteem.

We are here to support you to achieve all the daily tasks at home and in the community to give you a real sense of independence and accomplishment. Our assistance with daily living service is tailored specifically to your needs and is available 24/7.

Your needs and goals are important to us, and our experienced team aims to work with you to explore your potential, celebrate your wins and provide support when it’s needed.

Budgeted under NDIS Core Supports, NDIS Assistance with Daily Living provides the flexibility to modify your fund allocation as required.

NDIS Respite Support.

A safe and happy home away from home.

At HADAWA, we provide NDIS Respite Support by offering short term accommodation (STA) at one of our warm and welcoming homes.

Whether you’re taking a break from your usual care routine, keen to try something new, or your family or carer is taking some respite, we can step in to provide you a safe place to stay.

We find that our participants who come to us for STA enjoy the opportunity to experience independent living and build connections with our established networks within the community.

Families and carers can rest easy, knowing that the participants are well looked after and supported.

HADAWA Respite support gives people with a disability a chance to meet new people, try new things or learn new skills while their carers take a moment to recharge.

Short Term Accommodation funding covers the cost of the personal care, diet, accommodation and support for capacity-building activities of the participant. Examples of activities we have done in the past include:

  • Movies
  • Musicals at Crown
  • Fishing on a boat
  • Trips to Rottnest
  • Putt Putt
  • Dining out at restaurants across Perth
